Senior System Analyst

• Lead collaboration with business stakeholders to identify and document system-level requirements
• Define functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria
• Analyze and manage business and systems process flows
• Work comfortably within waterfall or agile project teams to understand how present and future business needs may impact solutions
• Define functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria
• Support and contribute to all requirements management best practices and procedures
• Participate in systems testing and UAT activities as needed
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to help negotiate priorities and resolve conflicts
• Exhibit strong writing skills to communicate information effectively to multiple levels
• May coordinate activities of other personnel as a team lead
• Solicit and incorporate inputs from technical and operational teams and document for consumption by development, testing, and management teams.
• Work on deliverables, such as data analysis, client report requests, etc. with minimal to no guidance from the manager.
• Actively participate and contribute in SDLC activities such as solution design, work effort estimation, assisting peers with technical challenges and requirement reviews.
• Works very closely with the operations team and acquire an expert understanding of the business processes in accordance with system requirements and business process changes.
• Perform production support activities such as monitoring system processes, evaluating the outcome of system processes, working through system exceptions, and creating processes to monitor and report on the overall system health.
• Work independently to understand the assigned work, deliver on agreed-upon dates, and raise issues/risks in a timely manner in case of risk to deliverables.
• Create/modify artifacts and deliverables expected from the SDLC and change management process such as proposed solution documents etc.
• Follow the SDLC and change management processes adopted by the organization. Participate in change management meetings to provide impact assessment of requested change, and perform release management tasks as assigned by manager.
• Assist in the team goals as necessary to ensure Key Performance Requirements (KPRs) are not missed

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, computer science, information systems, or related degree programs and minimum 8 years of related experience; or a Master’s degree and minimum 6 years of related experience; or a Ph.D. and minimum of 3 years related experience. Work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with requirements gathering and requirements management
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment
• Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously
• Ability to travel 10% on a needed basis
• Intermediate level of experience with data analysis and data analysis techniques.
• Intermediate level of experience with TSQL:
  • UnderstandsTSQL (stored procedures, functions, etc)
  • Understands and utilizes TSQL to retrieve data, analyze data relevance to requirements, and can effectively summarize analysis into useable recommendations for design/resolution.
• Intermediate skills in the following areas:
  • listening – to understand what people say and to detect what they might be hesitant to say;
  • analytical – to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and recommend solution ideas;
  • writing – to communicate information effectively to all levels;
  • interpersonal – to help negotiate priorities and resolve conflicts among project stakeholders; and

interviewing – to talk with individuals and groups about their needs and ask the right questions to surface essential requirements information.
